October Athlete of the Month: Stu B

What is your favorite movement or workout?
I like the bear crawl. Really brings out my good side.

 What is the biggest strength you are bringing to CrossFit?
I bring no strength expect maybe my mouth. I have a strong mouth. 

 What’s your favorite cheat food?
Favourite cheat food would have to be Guinness! It’s like an appetizer/snack.

What are your hobbies outside of CrossFit?
Hobbies are spending time w my kids. When you have 4 it’s like a new adventure everyday.

What motivates you to workout every day?
I’d like to beat my wife everyday but it never seems to happen. 

Favourite Genre/Playlist:
I like Brad’s music. Sharon’s gives me a headache. Dave just gives me a headache…..

Hidden Talent:
I have no talents 

Do you like Sports?
I like NASCAR racing. Watching the Raps win was amazing and could never be seen again so that was fun 

Where were you born?
I was born in England.

Most frequently used emoji?
I like the double finger emoji or the little brown one. They kind of sum me up 

Favourite food:
Favourite food would be anything at a restaurant w just Bev. 

Coolest place you have ever travelled:
Coolest place would be Florida. We took the 3 girls before Ryder was around and had so much fun. Thx for making me Athlete of the Month. I’ll give my parking spot to anyone who brings kids tho. I could use the exercise 

Also thanks to anyone who has encountered the kids at the front door and said hello. They love you guys. I’m sure Reese has been pleasant but Ryder has really found that deep British kindness.

  1. Nice workout and good energy in the 6am class with coach Dave V.
    I partnered up with Nick today.
    Part 1. Scaled to #135 cleans and completed all the DU as Rx’d in 15:54
    Part 2. #155 back squats

  2. Had a blast partnering with Amanda.
    Part 1. Scaled to #95, and skied (25-20-15-10-5). Finished just over the time cap at 15:30
    Part 2. #95-#105-#115

  3. That was tough.- I stuck to a plan and it worked for pacing though.
    Part 1 – I used 185 lbs for the squat cleans – 14:58
    Part 2 – all 3 sets of 10 were at 185 lbs
